Local School Council
The LSC is an advisory body which provides advice and recommendations to the school principal, and, where appropriate or when requested, the local board of education. LSC members are accountable to the constituents they serve. They must be able to attend regularly scheduled meetings, serve a two-year term, maintain a school-wide perspective on issues, serve as a link between and encourage participation of parents and the community, and work to improve student achievement and performance.
There are three sets of representatives on the LSC –parents, teachers, and business members – besides the principal. (Members must be 18 years of age or older.) The LSC for Brookwood consists of:

All meetings are open to the public. Agendas are posted on the Forsyth County web page in advance and minutes are posted after each meeting.
